Daren Willden

Daren came to architecture by way of construction. An ardent lover of architecture since childhood – he admired the profession even while working in his family construction firm. Daren made the mid-life career change to architecture in his mid-thirties. A former life in construction combined with a career in architecture gives him a unique background with experience on both sides of the drawings.

Daren has always been active in industry organizations. He was president of the Salt Lake chapter of the International Utility Contractors Association while running the family business, sat on the legislative sub-committee for AIA Denver, and was co-chair of AIA Denver’s Housing Committee in 2014. He has two decades of experience in civil construction and over 8 years of design firm experience. Daren is LEED BD+C accredited. He is an avid traveler, skier and photographer.
