New bank to reflect look of Denver’s distinct lower downtown marketplace

Hillcrest Bank—a Kansas City-based business bank and commercial lending facility—made a strategic decision in 2008 to open a private client services bank in downtown Denver. The bank retained Davis Partnership Architects to design their new location and develop a new corporate identity with an interior design approach that reflects the look and feel of Denver’s distinct marketplace. The 3,400 square-foot build out reflects an identity grounded in the client’s request for a transitional look that transcends the typical bank interior. Timeless architectural elements and finishes were chosen and a sandblasted glass panel of the Hillcrest logo highlights the lobby space. The project serves as a prototype for interior design elements that will be repeated in future Colorado locations. Although the bank did not elect to pursue leed certification, the Davis Partnership team worked within the sustainable intent of the building core and shell to meet the equivalent of a leed Silver certification.
