The primary objective of this master planning effort was to utilize the 36’ landscape easement adjacent to the street right-of-way to create a pedestrian zone that would better support the changing conditions of the area.  The new Arapahoe Light Rail Station leads directly to Fiddler’s Green Circle bringing an increasing number of commuters and pedestrians to the area.  As other mixed-use development occurs, it is envisioned that through enhancement of the streetscape and the definition of this part of Greenwood Village as a civic center, pedestrians will have a positive experience and be inclined to spend time in the area dining and enjoying civic and other activities. This Master Plan was guided by the following principles: •    Create a walkable, safe, pedestrian friendly atmosphere, and •    Create a sense of place that identifies this area as its own unique location within the City of Greenwood Village, and •    Provide a consistent visual character that links to all developments and venues in the area, and •    Identify and compliment the various styles of existing and proposed developments, and •    Provide a passageway from the Arapahoe Station Light Rail users, and •    Create a hierarchy and network of corridors that provide safe and comfortable routes for pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
