Convenience and efficiency in healthcare facility architecture

In 2011, Catholic Health Initiatives engaged the designers at Davis Partnership and Align Healthcare to master plan a two-phase, greenfield relocation hospital project in Dickinson, North Dakota. The original facility is a 1950s Hill-Burton era, 220,000 square foot property inadequate to the community’s needs. To replace it, the hospital envisioned a more operationally efficient single story healthcare facility with adjacent medical office space for consolidation of all their outpatient and physician services, to function as an integrated medical center.
