Joseph Bahnsen

Architect

Joey Bahnsen graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor’s of Architecture in 2018. Joey’s passion for all things building related led him towards two construction management internships in Texas and a year of work in Iowa in which he focused on renovation projects. During his last semester in school, Joey took on the role of project manager and superintendent for his design-build studio project which ended up winning the national Award of Excellence in Community Service from The American Society of Landscape Architects.

Nowadays you can find Joey working on healthcare projects where he enjoys developing a client’s vision into reality through design and construction. Joey enjoys working around his house with his fiancé Haley, hiking, riding his 2002 Harley Davidson Road King, playing golf, volunteering with ACE Mentor Program, and playing with his always energetic Husky/German Shepherd pup, Nala. If you can’t find Joey he may be camping in his ’89 Chevy G20 van that he rebuilt as a studio project and still owns today. Maybe Chris Farley was right about living in a van...
