Construction Wraps Up on UCHealth Green Valley Ranch Medical Office Building
Posted February 12, 2025 by Davis Partnership Architects
The new UCHealth Green Valley Ranch Medical Office Building is now complete! Davis Partnership Architects provided architecture and interior design for this new, 12,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art medical office building. Developed by Remedy Medical Properties and Kayne Anderson, the facility recently wrapped up construction and final touches are underway in anticipation of welcoming its first patients in March. Our very own Deborah Willier, AIA, ACHA, EDAC, LEED AP explains more about the design of this latest addition to our healthcare portfolio to Healthcare Construction + Operations News.
The team worked with the owner/developer and UCHealth, the ultimate end user, to develop design strategies that met financial constraints while ensuring UCHealth’s goals for branding and patient expectations were honored. A palette of design materials consisting of brick, stone and panels similar to other UCHealth facilities provides a common architectural language for branding consistency.
Interior design includes biophilic elements such as planting, natural materials, and images of nature in artwork. The reception/waiting area is thoughtfully divided into sections for Primary Care, Urgent Care, Mammography, and Physical Therapy. This helps meet UCHealth’s goal to create distinct spaces while maintaining an open, cohesive feel in the waiting area. Large planters and wood slat dividers serve to separate the different areas, offering both spatial definition and a sense of privacy. Within the clinics, the spaces are further organized by department—Primary Care, Urgent Care, Imaging, Mammography, and Physical Therapy.
Between the Mammography and Physical Therapy areas, you’ll find staff spaces, including a break room. A central corridor connects all areas, ensuring smooth flow. At the entrance to each clinic, the design features a wood-wrapped soffit and a pendant light fixture, adding warmth and character to each space.
We’re thrilled for Remedy Medical Properties, Kayne Anderson, UCHealth and their patients! Congratulations to the entire project team, including builder Howell Construction and key consultant partners including JVA Engineering (structural), Specialized Engineering Solutions (MEP/T), Maia Consulting (medical equipment planning) and Kimley Horn (civil engineering/landscape architecture).
