Consistent with the client’s mission to create sustainable habitats of extraordinary character and enduring value, 1126 Ash Street integrates and strengthens the neighborhood context, creates vibrant pedestrian environments, and incorporates an abundance of natural light and ventilation. The 70 units of workforce housing pursue the 9% LIHTC while the 40 units of senior housing would pursue the 4% LIHTC. The design focuses on efficient layouts, repetitive modules, and economy. It also strives to attain the aesthetic goals of the greater development by using a palate of rich materials, strengthening the streetscape and anchoring the primary corners with lobbies and architecturally enhanced elements above.
