Medical satellite center growing trend in healthcare planning

Outlying medical satellite centers are proving effective in market capture. Davis Partnership’s healthcare facilities designers worked closely with the Centura strategic planning team to develop a functional concept to meet the needs of this growing market. St. Anthony North is a freestanding emergency room facility with the flexibility of walk-in, ambulance, and helicopter access. Among other services, it incudes a full compliment of imaging modalities. Davis’s designers developed conceptual programs and site plans in anticipation of the campus becoming a one hundred-bed hospital. Should growth rates demand, plans also allow for expansion into medical offices that would link to the emergency department via an enclosed connector mall.
