The City of Westminster is currently in the process of realizing their vision of a new Town Center at the previous 105-acre shopping mall site. The property is immediately adjacent to the Denver-Boulder Turnpike (US 36), between West 88th Ave. and West 92nd Ave. After the master planning was complete, the site cleared, and infrastructure in place, the new projects began in the areas surrounding the existing JC Penny building that is to remain. The two south-most parcels in the development (Blocks B1 and C1) were combined to create a single long mixed-use project, now called “Ascent.” It will be one of the first projects completed in the new Town Center. Ascent will be a four-story multifamily residential rental apartment building over a two-story retail and parking podium. Parking for the retail and residential units is provided within the two-level parking structure that also has an additional partial level one story below grade. [Read More]
